hey there!
I'm amelie! (she/they) I'm an illustrator from Vancouver studying Illustration at Emily Carr University. My work mainly centers around comics/graphic novels, children's books, and zines.
Much of my work embraces identity through bright, surreal illustrations and silly characters. Yes, this includes queer characters with cool spiky hair and piercings, along with a particular love for folklore, horror, and of course- cats. I also have a profound love for the absurd, especially in uniquely-told emotionally evoking stories. Tillie Walden's graphic novels and The Binding of Isaac have been largely inspiring for me.
On a regular Tuesday afternoon maybe you'll see me doing some film photography, practicing how to do the club penguin dance in front of my TV, or who knows... maybe you'll get to hear my many opinions on the Twilight universe. #TeamEdward.
